James Grashow
Award-winning sculptor and woodcut illustrator James Grashow will give an ARTalk at the library on Sunday, March 13 at 2 p.m. that is co-sponsored by the library and the Ridgefield Guild of Artists. Grashow will give a talk about his work and career creating sculpture projects that range from giant corrugated installations to small, intricately detailed and sculpted house plants. He will talk about overarching themes that inspire his work: man, nature and mortality.
Grashow’s work as a woodcut artist has been published regularly in The New York Times as well as in many other national periodicals and publications.
Grashow received his bachelor of arts and master of fine arts from Pratt Institute and was also a recipient of a Fulbright Travel Grant to Florence. He is represented by the Alan Stone Gallery in Manhattan.
