The Ridgefield Public Schools pre-K program will hold informational open house sessions for the parents of peer models on Wednesday, March 9, from 10 to noon at Barlow Mountain Elementary School. The program is an inclusive program for 3- and 4-year-old children who live in Ridgefield. Parents and caregivers may learn more about the program while their children participate in an informal screening that consists of play-based activities conducted by the staff.
The program is designed for students with special needs along with typically developing peers in a structured and nurturing environment. The curriculum is based upon the Connecticut State Education preschool frameworks and emphasizes intentional teaching for children through active engagement, play, and multisensory experiences in multi-age classrooms.
