The Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra — featuring soloist Emily Kerr of Ridgefield — will present its winter concert on Sunday, March 6, at 3 p.m. at the Clune Auditorium at Wilton High School.
The concert, led by music director Eric Mahl, will feature Kerr, winner of the orchestra’s concerto competition, performing the first movement of Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto.
The orchestra will also hold a silent auction fund-raiser and reception. The concert will feature performances by the three orchestra ensembles, comprised of 90 musicians from 12 towns in Connecticut and New York.
Tickets for the concert are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and children under 12, and will be available at the door on the day of the event.
The orchestra’s string ensemble and wind ensemble will also perform on Saturday, June 4, at Scotts Ridge Middle School.
