Scattered wind gusts Wednesday continued to blow tree branches down, knocking out power to 35 customers of Eversource in the Lounsbury Road area.

“We got the call at 12 p.m., that a tree hit a line in the Lounsbury Road area, on Cains Hill Road,” said Mitch Gross, spokesman for Eversource.

It is the same general neighborhood where power outages have been a problem since early last Thursday, when an unusual thunderstorm with high winds and heavy rains tore through the state, knocking power out to several thousand in Ridgefield.

Last Friday,  without a call to warn the residents, Eversource cut power on Lounsbury Road to make repairs, said one of the local residents.

“Since then we have had three recurrent outages, likely due to faulty repairs, that includes two in the past few hours. Outage occurs after a flash of light and a huge bang.”

The resident said he lost sleep last night, and lost his dinner the other day.

“The wind does that,” Gross said. “We’re seeing very scattered issues around the state.”
