Joan Garbow of Ridgefield was elected to the Board of Directors of the New England Chapter of the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA) on Jan. 1. Garbow was elected by the membership of the ALCA to represent the state of Connecticut and was recognized for her longstanding leadership in the field.
Garbow has been a regional leader in Geriatric and Aging Life Care throughout Fairfield County. Through her private practice, Joan Garbow and Associates, LLC, she helps aging seniors and their families.
“I am honored to be selected by my fellow Connecticut Aging Life Care Professionals to represent them on the ALCA Board,” said Joan. “The challenges faced by seniors and their families are far ranging and include home care, financial planning, conflict resolution, alternative living options, and access to available resources. Our mission is to identify the issues and help improve the quality of life for our clients with both short- and long-term goals.”
