Word has been received of the death of Mark Solomon, Scotland School principal from 2004 to 2014.
Solomon, who retired in 2014 after 45 years in education, died Monday at his home.
In announcing Solomon’s death, Scotland School Principal Michael J. Sheehan noted that Solomon “leaves a strong legacy at Scotland, from the ‘Happy School’ painting he commissioned to the ADA-compliant playground he helped create to his love of math and the arts.”
Funeral details had not been announced as of Tuesday, Feb. 2.
