Stacey Barnard and Craig McGee wed in June

Stacey Anne Barnard, daughter of Frederick Barnard of Palm City, Fla., and Beverly Barnard of Ridgefield, was married to Craig Timothy McGee, son of Timothy and Thea McGee, also of Ridgefield, on Saturday, June 15.

The double-ring ceremony took place in the Memorial Garden at The First Congregational Church in Ridgefield.

The groom’s brother, Evan McGee, was the best man and the bride’s brother-in-law, John Carroll, stood with her as man of honor. The bride’s niece, Ashley Neikrie was the flower girl, and her nephew, Jack Neikrie was the ring bearer.

The bride was given away by her father. A close friend of the bride’s mother, Janet Leiphart, officiated the ceremony.

The bride wore a full length ivory dress with beaded bodice and carried a bouquet of white roses and hydrangea. Ashley carried a bouquet of pink roses and hydrangea.

The groom, best man and man of honor wore boutonnieres composed of hydrangea and roses.

The bride graduated from Ridgefield High School in 2000 and attended Eastern Connecticut State University where she earned a degree in child psychology and a teaching certification in early childhood education. She went on to earn two master’s degrees in curriculum and special education. She is teaching early childhood special education.

The groom also attended Ridgefield High School and went on to earn a degree in finance with a minor in management from Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. He works for the UPS Corporation.

A luncheon of celebration was held at Toscana followed the ceremony.

The couple lives in Ridgefield.
