Ridgefield Guild of Artists continues its Walk & Talk series this Sunday, Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. (snow date: Sunday, Feb. 7) when four member artists appearing in the current Out of the Box exhibition, come together to discuss their art, artistic process and their inspiration for this show.  The guild asked its members to think out of their regular wheelhouse and the works on display definitely show a different side to the exhibiting artists. This event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.

The four member artists include Ridgefield sculptor, Justin Perlman, Milford assemblage artist Marian Doherty, Holly Hawthorn, a mixed-media artist from Redding, and Tony Woolner, a printmaker from South Salem.

Guild member Nancy Moore hosts the Walk & Talk series at the guild and loves to see the creativity: “This year’s RGA Member Show is pure delight. It’s worth a visit just to see the incredible variety of materials that artists are playing with. And that’s what this show is — playful, joyful.”

The Out of the Box exhibition is the guild’s annual themed member show and runs through Sunday, Feb. 14. RGA is located at 34 Halpin Lane. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m. For more information: rgoa.org or 203-438-8863.
