The Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) has announced that David McDevitt, RN, has joined the RVNA staff as a per diem home health care nurse. Mr. McDevitt is a fire captain and paramedic with the town of Ridgefield in the career fire department. He has an associate of science degree in nursing from Naugatuck Valley Community College and is working towards his bachelor of science degree in Nursing at Aspen University.
“I am truly excited to have the opportunity to work for RVNA, as I have always wanted to be a registered nurse in the home health field,” McDevitt said. “It shares aspects of my career in the field of emergency medical services. In addition, being a nurse with RVNA enables me to continue to help the people in and around Ridgefield.”
McDevitt is married to his high school sweetheart and lives in New Milford. He and his wife have two boys. He enjoys cooking, golf and sports.
