Woodcock Nature Center has February winter programs for both children and adults. Children may explore the winter landscape during Woodcock’s Winter Break Enrichment program. During the days children will learn all about the world around them through hands-on activities, animal presentations, hikes, and crafts. Each day will focus on a specific nature-related topic. Programs run from 9 to 12 each day, with one group for 4-year-olds to first graders on Friday, Feb. 12, and groups for 3- to 4-year-olds and 5- to 7-year-olds, Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 15 and 16. Register for any or all days (non-refundable) through the website. Non-members: $50 per day; members: $40 per day. Registration for each day closes at 1 p.m. the previous business day.
Adults may create a terrarium and taste teas donated by Cucumber & Chamomile of Ridgefield during the Tea & Terrariums program on Sunday, Feb. 21, from 2:30 to 4:30. Participants will meet in the weather-protected pavilion with a fire and views of the natural setting. Pre-registration is required and closes at noon on Friday, Feb. 19. Cost: $42 per person.
Registration and information for these and other upcoming programs is available online at woodcocknaturecenter.org.
