Elna Marie Tarbox Krapowicz, a longtime Ridgefielder, known as Ele, died Saturday, Aug. 10. She was 77, the widow of Jacob Anthony Krapowicz and had at one time co-owned a restaurant, Heart to Hand, in Danbury.
Ms. Krapowicz was the daughter of the late Mildred and Leslie Tarbox of North Reading, Mass., and was also predeceased by her stepfather, Eugene Tower, and her brother Roderick Tarbox.
“Ele will forever be the light and goodness within our family and life inside of us personally,” her family said.
She is survived by three children, Jenifer West, LeighAnne Homsey and Jon Krapowicz, and grandchildren Pixel Jane West and Nastasia West, and by her brother Leslie Tarbox.
Services will take place Saturday, Aug. 17, at 3 at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, with calling hours from 1 to 3 p.m.
A private burial will follow.
