Using Social Networks is a two hour Ridgefield Continuing Education workshop that demystifies Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. This class will teach what the sites offer, how to set up accounts, how to promote, and how to join groups and communities to network with others. It meets Friday, Jan. 22, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Venus Building (old high school). Cost is $44. Instructor Lance Whitney is a writer for CNET and consultant to local companies. He was previously an IT network administrator and software trainer with Ciba Chemicals. He has taught many continuing education courses and is the author of Teach Yourself Visually LinkedIn, published by Wiley & Sons. eBay, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, iPhone and iPad are also available in January and February.
