Four of the 20 town funds under the auspices of Friends of Ridgefield Community Programs Inc. now accept online donations.
The Friends, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was created more than 10 years ago, plans to set up all 20 for online contributions. So far, the following charities have been set up:
Ridgefield Emergency Fund, purchases food certificates, home heating fuel, electricity, clothing, and other basic needs, co.clickandpledge.com/?wid=114957
Ridgefield Holiday Trust Fund, supports traditional community events such as the holiday lights, co.clickandpledge.com/?wid=114981
Ridgefield Bark Park Lighting Fund, recently established to fund installation of new lighting at the park, co.clickandpledge.com/?wid=114945
