Keep up your tennis skills over the winter while having fun. Join Jonathan Chase in his indoor tennis programs for adults and children through Ridgefield Parks & Recreation. Classes for adults are held inside Yanity gym and include beginner/intermediate doubles strategy, and cardio circuit training. Classes for children ages 3 to 14 are held inside the Scotland Elementary School gym and include beginner and intermediate levels. Classes start on Jan. 12.
Challenge your children’s minds and get them hooked on math and science with our technology classes. Lego Robotics is a class that was designed by the experts at MIT. This unique program teaches students in second through fifth grade about simple machines, engineering, and computer programming. Classes meet on Tuesdays from Jan. 13 to Feb. 9. Our new Coding in Minecraft class is for children in third through sixth grade. Students will conceptualize, design and learn how to create mods and modify the Minecraft game using Java templates. Classes meet on Mondays from Jan. 25 to Feb. 29. Both technology classes meet from 4:45 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Recreation Center.
