Val and Taew Horsa, of South Salem, NY passed away on November 19, 2015 from a tragic plane accident in North Salem, NY.
Val was born on May 2, 1939 in Kharkow, Russia. He died at the age of 76. Taew was born in Korat, Thailand on November 12, 1949 and died at the age of 66.
Before starting Bangkok Thai Restaurant in Danbury, CT, Val was in the National Guard, as well as working for National Distillers, Colgate Palmolive, and Metromedia.
Val & Taew started their restaurant in 1986. Taew was the head chef and they both loved catering and socializing with their customers. They were known for their fine cuisine and hospitality. Besides their love for their business, they loved traveling together.
They are both survived by their son Eric, his wife Portia and their two grandchildren Erica and Kyle of Ridgefield, CT.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.
