The missing man in the Bennetts Farm Road area that had emergency responders combing the woods with the aid of a helicopter has been found and taken to Danbury Hospital for observation. There was no immediate explanation as to why he had abandoned his pickup truck with its lights on along the side of the road.

8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16: The man missing from his abandoned pickup truck along Bennetts Farm Road has been found and an ambulance has been requested though it was not clear whether it was for physical injury, medical concerns or merely as a precaution. No other information was immediately available.
7:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16: Emergency workers aided by a helicopter continue searching for the driver of a truck found, seemingly abandoned, along Bennetts Farm Road earlier today.
“We’re still looking for him,” Officer William Browning, the department’s communications supervisor, said about 7:20 p.m.
He said the search was prompted by the discovery of the truck, empty, with its door open and its lights on.
“The truck was on the side of the road. The door was open. Very suspicious,” Browning said.
“The subject’s from Plattsburgh, N.Y. The last time he was spoken to was this morning, by his father. We’re just very concerned about his whereabouts.”
6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16: Emergency response personnel are searching woods off Bennett’s Farm Road near Bennett’s Pond and a helicopter has joined in the search. It was not immediately clear why the search was being conducted.
“We may have a missing person in the woods, we’re not sure, We found a pickup truck. It was empty, the lights were on,” Bill Browning, police dispatcher, said.
The truck was found parked somewhere along Bennett’s Farm Road.
Police may have been in touch with the owner of the truck, which is registered to an individual out of Plattsburgh, N.Y.
