Samuel Frederick Comstock Jr. of Danby, Vt., formerly of Ridgefield, died on Aug. 6.
Born 1935 in Darien to Maude Millspaugh Comstock and Samuel F. Comstock Sr., Mr. Comstock worked for the town of Ridgefield Highway Department for 37 years and retired as foreman in 1995.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Arline Mead Comstock.
He is also survived by three sons, Mark Comstock (wife Tambrey) of Waterbury, Glenn Comstock of New Milford, and Thomas Comstock (wife Mary) of Danbury; his sister Amanda Verbanic; grandchildren Aubrey, Brittany, Victoria, Adam, Colleen, Eric, Hannah and T.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters Adele Brown and Jean Taylor, and daughter-in-law Tracy Comstock.
