Friends of Karen is a charity serving New York tri-state area families who are caring for a child battling cancer or another life-threatening illness.
Friends of Karen is asking for donations of new school supplies, especially backpacks and $25 gift cards to Macy’s, Old Navy or Target. Donations may be shipped or brought to Friends of Karen’s headquarters 118 Titicus Road, North Salem, N.Y. “Cash donations are also greatly appreciated,” the organization said.
A spokesperson told The Press there are more than 200 supporters in Ridgefield, and 850 children will be helped prepare for this school year.
