The Ridgefield Police Department is reminding the public to lock their vehicles and remove all valuables in the wake of a rash of thefts from vehicles.
Over the past week the police received multiple calls regarding items being stolen from inside parked vehicles in the Main Street area, said Capt. Jeffery Kreitz, spokesman for the department.
“In each case the vehicle was left unlocked and no forced entry was reported,” Kreitz said.
Police believe the thefts occurred during the overnight hours.
