The Ridgefield High boys lacrosse team continues its daunting non-conference schedule this Thursday afternoon, May 12, when it travels to Greenwich to play prep power Brunswick.

The game, which starts at 4:30, will be broadcast live on HAN Radio and will also be available for live video streaming through the HAN Network. Here’s a link to watch the game, which is a subscription service.

An archive of the video broadcast is usually available within an hour of the game’s completion for on-demand viewing for subscribers.

Going into Tuesday night’s FCIAC game against Westhill, Ridgefield has a 9-3 record. In non-conference games so far this season, the Tigers have beaten reigning Massachusetts state champion Medfield, 10-8, and perennial Long Island power Garden City, 8-7, while losing to another Long Island juggernaut, Ward Melville, by a score of 12-6.

Brunswick, which competes in the Western New England Division I league, has an 11-4 record going into Wednesday’sgame against Kent. All four of the Bruins’ losses have been by one goal, including two setbacks in overtime.
Although Ridgefield and Brunswick have not had any common opponents this season, the Bruins do have a 9-7 triumph over FCIAC stalwart New Canaan earlier this spring.

Among Brunswick’s top players is sophomore midfielder Alex Buckanavage, a Ridgefield resident who has already committed to play at Michigan. Buckanavage’s older brother, Andy, a former standout at Ridgefield High, is now a senior midfielder at Vermont.

HAN Radio and HAN Video are part of Hersam Acorn’s HAN Network of websites, newspapers, audio, video, advertising and more. Many of HAN’s daily news and sports programming is broadcast live on video. You can watch it check out the daily scheduled at HANRadio.com/livestream/.
