At the May general meeting of the Danbury Area Computer Society, Ridgefielder Dr. John R. Patrick will talk about the personal health care revolution and the massive changes he expects are coming to health care, spurred on by advances in information technology.
Patrick’s presentation will be followed by a panel discussion involving several local health care experts.
Patrick is president of Attitude LLC and former vice president of Internet Technology at IBM. He was a founding member of the World Wide Web Consortium at MIT in 1994, a founding member and past chairman of the Global Internet Project, and a member of the Internet Society and the American College of Healthcare Executives. P
atrick is a fellow of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and has served on a number of boards, including that of Danbury Hospital from 2003 to 2013. He is currently a board member at OCLC and a member of Western Connecticut Health Network’s Biomedical Research Institute Advisory Council.
The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, in the Danbury Hospital auditorium.
