A fire alarm in a business on Main Street caused several businesses on Main Street and Bailey Avenue to be evacuated briefly.
Police responded to the scene. Several fire crews were called to the scene, along with fire police.
It appeared the alarm was set off by some burnt object, which was outside and extinguished before or soon after firefighters arrived. Several of the responders called to the scene were turned around. A few minutes later folks went back inside.
Traffic was jammed up a little bit with the emergency vehicles parked on Main Street.
