Library book sale coming up in May

The eagerly awaited semi-annual used book sale at the Ridgefield Library on Main Street, sponored by the Friends of the Ridgefield Library, is fast approaching. This May there will be two sales — one for children’s books and another for books for grown-ups.

The children’s book sale will be held on Friday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; on Sat., May 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, May 3, from 1 to 5 p.m. On Sunday all books will be half-price. There is a $10 entry fee Friday from 8 to noon, waived for Friends members.

Adult sale will be on Friday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Sat., May 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Sunday, May 10, from 1 to 5 p.m., and on Mon., May 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a $10 entry fee Friday from 9 to noon, waived for Friends members.

Books will be half-price on Sunday.

On Monday, a filled grocery bag will cost $5.

There are books available for every age and a wide variety of interests. All funds go to supporting numerous programs and events offered at the library.
