The Theater Barn is happy to announce three new improv classes, taught by the coach and director of the Role in the Hay Players, Rick Hodder. There will be a class for adults (18 and older), one for teens, and one for kids (grades six to eight).
Hodder has trained with the Upright Citizens Brigade and Gotham City Improv in New York City and recently directed one of the highest grossing shows at the Theater Barn, Godspell. The workshop will be similar to the show Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Beginning Wednesday, April 22, the adult workshop will meet Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 and run for eight weeks through June 17 (no class June 3). The teen and kids workshops will begin May 16 and meet Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. (kids grades six to eight), and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (teens) for six weeks through June 20. All workshops will culminate with a performance for friends and family.
The classes will be held at the Ridgefield Theater Barn, 37 Halpin Lane. All experience levels are welcome and early registration is strongly recommended, as seating is limited to 14 students. The eight-week adult workshop is $320 for members, $340 for non-members, and the teen and kids six-week workshop is $240 for members and $260 for non-members.
