It’s been such fun to watch our customers’ reactions to our new floor. “It’s like shopping in a boutique,” exclaimed one. The woman beside her responded, “It’s always been a boutique, it’s just prettier now!” Thanks to Ridgefield Carpet for a great installation. Also thanks to the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (our landlord) for helping to defray the cost.
Quality donations are streaming in; the artwork, in particular, has been phenomenal. Some great rugs were also recently donated as well as several sets of china. We also recently received gently used canes, walkers and wheelchairs. We don’t always have these items, but the Thrift Shop is a good place to start looking for all sorts of household or personal goods.
Lamps are always in supply. A ginger jar lamp with a nice shade has a white background with a design of flowers and birds with red, blue and green. A taller, cylinder lamp — again with a nice shade — has similar colors and would complement the ginger jar lamp nicely.
Our inventory changes daily, so shop often. Visit us soon at 15 Catoonah Street, Monday through Friday from noon to 4 and Saturday from 10 to 1.
