The Brien McMahon and Norwalk High School baseball teams will get the chance to battle each other on one of the most legendary ballparks in the land this Sunday afternoon, April 19, which the Hersam Acorn Network will broadcast live on streaming video.
The Senators, for the fourth time in school history, will travel to Cooperstown, N.Y., this weekend and battle head coach Pete Tucci and the Norwalk Bears on Doubleday Field Sunday at 5.
Last season, the Norwalk Bears qualified for the CIAC class LL tournament as the No. 27 seed and had a 9-11 regular season record before falling to No. 6 seeded Manchester in the opening round.
On the other side, head coach John Cross’ Senators were rebuilding, finishing the regular season last year with a 7-13 record.
