The Hideaway restaurant was reportedly broken into overnight between Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6, and police are seeking information about the break-in.
Police wrote in a release Friday:
“On April 5, 2015 at approximately 9:30 am the Ridgefield Police Department responded to a Grove St. business for the report of a burglary.
“It was determined that sometime during the overnight hours, when the business was closed, an individual(s) forced entry through the rear door.
“The individual(s) entered the establishment and took the safe, as well as the money from the cash register. An undetermined amount of money was taken.
“This incident is currently under investigation by the Ridgefield Police Department’s Detective Division and anyone with information is asked to call (203) 431-2794.”
