4 p.m. — Firefighters report about 20 vehicles are stuck on George Washington Highway and the fire engine can’t drive on it either.
Original story — After a crash Friday afternoon police and firefighters have shut George Washington Highway from Ridgebury Road to Old Trolley Road.
There were no major injuries reported, and both occupants of the crash were able to get out of the car on their own. At first no injuries were reported and then police reported on person had a “minor injury.”
However, police reported the road was very slick and other cars were getting stuck, so they decided to shut the road. The highway department has been notified.
