The Exchange Club of Ridgefield will have its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on March 18 upstairs at Tiger’s Den Sports Bar and Grill on Catoonah Street. Gary Singer, former president of the Ridgefield Historical Society, a retired executive with IBM and a cultural ambassador for Bermuda, will be the guest speaker. His topic will be America and Bermuda: Their Unique 400-Year Historical Relationship, with such subjects as the Jamestown Colony, the American Revolution, the War of 1812, emancipation, the Civil War, the early 1900s, and World Wars I and II.
Cocktails are at 6 p.m., dinner at 7. All are welcome. The price for the dinner for non-members is $15.
Also, on April 22, the Exchange Club will be honoring a Ridgefield police officer at Leir Retreat Center on Branchville Road.
