Brandon Ye, Martin Hurlihy and Bret Kaser shared a laugh while volunteering at RMAC’s Band Bash fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 28. Co-hosts of the event, Martin and Bret entertained the crowd between sets as the stage crew prepared for each band to perform. The event raised money for the nonprofit organization, whose mission is to provide opportunities for students in the creative and performing arts. Six bands performed 20-minute sets, including many original songs, for a panel of three judges. The members of Sisera, Jam Theory, Birdwalk, The Bothers, Plethora of Nothing, and Drawn came from Ridgefield and several surrounding towns. Judges for the evening were Nick Albano, musical director of Fairfield Ludlow High School; Noah Manheimer of the Enchanted Garden Studios in Ridgefield; and Chris Pike, owner of Ridgefield Music. Birdwalk was the winner and will receive a two-hour recording session courtesy of Enchanted Garden Productions. For details, go to rmacct.org
