Angelo F. Petroccio, age 81, died on Sunday March 8, 2015, at NCH North Hospital in Naples, Fla.
He was the father of a Ridgefielder.
Born in Bridgeport on Oct. 27, 1933, he was a son of the late William and Margaret Hegadus Petroccio and was a longtime resident of Trumbull before moving to Naples.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and had a lifelong career as a hairdresser. He was both owner and operator of Smartress Salon and The Shop in Fairfield and later worked for Zotos International, Inc.
In addition to his wife Adeline Nucifora Petroccio of 54 years, survivors include his three children, Marcellino Petroccio and his wife Julie of Ridgefield, William Petroccio and his wife Ann of Fairfield and Candis Butcaris and her husband Greg of Trumbull and seven grandchildren, Nicolina, Brian, Gregory, Kevin, Matthew, Gianna and Aleah as well as many nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his brother, William Petroccio and sister, Maryann Calabrese.
A Memorial Service was held Monday, March 16, at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home in Trumbull.
