Ava Renee Springer, 13, of Ridgefield, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, March 12, 2015. Ava struggled with renal failure her entire life.
“In spite of the medical challenges she faced, our Ava was an inspiration to everyone around her,” her family said. “As a proud student at East Ridge Middle School, Ava radiated her positive outlook on life to the staff and students. Ava was passionate in everything she did, whether it was creating a new recipe or singing uncontrollably in the car, she did it with a smile on her face.”
She is survived by her mother, Linda Springer; brothers, Ryan, Shay, Paul and his wife Robyn; her sissy, Sarah and maternal grandfather, Stanley Bedient.
“Our hearts are broken and she will be dearly missed,” her family said.
The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, on Sunday, March 15, between the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to commemorate and celebrate Ava’s life. Contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York NY 10016. www.kidney.org
