Edwin R. Taylor, minister of music at Ridgefield’s First Congregational Church, has announced the line-up for Fountain Music Series for 2014-2015.

The season begins as usual with the Annual Fall Festival of Music, in this case the 14th. However, the festival will be a major departure from the previous 13. British composer Will Todd will conduct the FCC concert choir and the Choir of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church (Scott Toperzer, director) along with other area singers and instrumentalists in an Anglican Choral Evensong, featuring many of maestro Todd’s jazz anthems at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, at St. Stephen’s Church.

Pianist and composer Joe Utterback makes his third FMS appearance on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. at the 114 Main Street home of Laurice and Douglas Haynes.

On Friday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30, the Annual Christmas Concert will combine four choirs, the five-octave Celebration Ringers, a professional brass/percussion ensemble, and organ in a performance of John Rutter’s Gloria, along with a selection of favorite Advent and Christmas selections including the usual carol arrangements for audience and choirs.

Everything Euphonium on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 4 features returning virtuoso Jason Ham and friends from the United States Military Academy Band at West Point.

Another return engagement will be that of Merve Nur Sari, Turkish vocalist, on Sunday, March 1, at 4. This time she will be accompanied by Hasan Isakkut on the kanun, a middle eastern zither whose name is related to the word canon.

The Celebration Ringers handbell ensemble will perform a bronze-a-blazing program on Sunday, March 29, at 4.

The Annual Spring Concert on Sunday, April 26, at 4 will feature composer/conductor Keith Hampton directing the concert choir, this time in gospel and spiritual favorites including his own Praise His Holy Name and True Light.

The biennial favorite The True Story of Cinderella by Warren Martin will close the season on Sunday, May 31, at 4.
