Ridgefield Folk continues at the library with a show by the band Cantrip on Sunday, Sept. 7. The concert is free thanks to the Friends of the Ridgefield Library and tickets may be picked up from the door in the Main Level lobby starting at 1 p.m. on the day of the show. Doors open at 1:30 and the show starts at 2.
Cantrip is Dan Houghton on bagpipes, flute, whistles, guitar, bouzouki and vocals, Jon Bews on fiddle and vocals, and Eric Mcdonald on guitar, mandolin, bouzouki and vocals.
Cantrip is an old Scots word meaning a charm, magic spell or piece of mischief, and it aptly describes the unexpected twists and turns in the band’s compelling musical arrangements.
