Children ages 4 to 14 may participate in the first annual Ridgefield Kids Duathlon on Sunday, June 8. The event will be held at the recreation center campus and is co-sponsored by Ridgefield Parks and Recreation and Ridgefield Bicycle Sports Club. The race will consist of a run-bike-run sequence; the course is closed to cars. The three age groups competing are 4 to 6, 7 to 10, and 11 to 14. Each group has a different start time and race distance. Participants will receive a race T-shirt and be officially timed with posted results. The deadline to register is June 6.
