Ryan Paul Davis, aged 38, of Fairfax, Virginia, died on April 22, at Fair Oaks Hospital following complications from lymphoma. He was the husband of Sarah (Tippet) Davis, a native Ridgefielder, and father of Alexander William Davis, who is 3 years old. He is the son-in-law of Marjorie Tippet, a long time Ridgefield resident.
Mr. Davis was born in Washington, D.C. on March 28, 1976, to Deborah (Jones) Davis and William P. Davis. He grew up in Camp Springs, Md., attended Oxon Hill High School, and graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in kinesiology. A life long sports fan, he was a trainer and fitness specialist.
In addition to his wife, son, and parents, Mr. Davis is survived by his grandparents, Wayne and Phyllis Smith of Waldorf, Md., and William H. Davis, Jr. of Ocean City, Md.; his sister, Allison Sellick, and brother-in-law, Jeremy, of Severn, Md.; nephew and niece, Connor and Emmy Sellick; aunts and uncles, Pam (Jones) and Rick Olszewski of Hebron, MD, John and Barbara Davis of Waldorf, Md., and Peggy Coons of Plainfield, Ill.; and many cousins and friends.
Services were held on April 26, in Clinton, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Ryan’s memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society lls.org.
Mr. Davis’s family said he “was a beloved husband, father, and son, and he will be truly missed.”
