Cellist Thirzah Bendokas will perform in a free concert at Ballard Green Friday, April 25, at 3:30.
Ms. Bendokas made her professional debut with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, performing the Lalo Cello Concerto. Soon after came her solo debut with the Boston Symphony, where she preformed the Kovalevsky Concerto.
Upon graduating from the Juilliard School of Music, she completed four concert tours in Mexico.
She is a familiar soloist in her native Connecticut, with recent performances including Beethoven’s Triple Concerto and the Haydn D Major concerto. She has performed at Tanglewood and in Austria, Portugal, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, and Spain.
Performances are held at at Ballard Green housing, 25 Gilbert Street, at the first building on the right after entering the parking lot.
