Learn to Play the Didgeridoo! is a new course this spring in Ridgefield Continuing Education.
The didgeridoo is an ancient wind instrument from Australia, is very easy to play, and no musical skill is required, instructor Brigitte Pohl said. Playing the didgeridoo is also said to be a useful preparation to playing brass instruments like the trumpet and trombone.
Ms. Pohl is a diplomate of the Institute for Music and Health in New York and has taught prior classes in didgeridoo and art.
The class meets on Mondays, April 21 and 28, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at East Ridge Middle School. Cost is $39. Advance registration required. You may purchase a didgeridoo from the instructor at class for $10. Visit ridgefieldschools.org or phone Peggy Bruno at 203-431-2812 to register.
