To highlight concern about children, students placed 1,864 pinwheels on the lawn of the Community Center recently, one for each of 1,864 children abused or neglected in Fairfield County last year. About 10 students took part. From left are Andrew Vargas, Paige Romoser and Garrett Levine. Andrew and Garret go to East Ridge Middle School and Paige goes to Ridgefield High School, where the pinwheel display was organized by Kids in Crisis TeenTalk counselor James McGinn. Kids in Crisis has a 24-hour hotline at 203-327-KIDS (5437).
