Boasting a vast array of health services, the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association is gearing up for its 40th fair.
Some of the free offerings include oral cancer screening, cholesterol checkups, hearing tests, vein screenings, carotid artery screenings, vision exams, foot exams, memory and balance screenings and children’s health screenings.
It’s RVNA’s 40th Annual Health Fair to celebrate the organization’s 100th anniversary of health care, which is this year.
“It’s not only the biggest, but in terms of health screenings, results and solutions, this has it all,” organizers of the event said.
Ridgefield’s East Ridge Middle School will be transformed into Villages where visitors may “Ask the Cardiologist,” get help with insomnia, have a screening for skin cancer, have a massage, learn about medical equipment, talk to a dentist, pediatrician, or do some yoga.
Over the century, RVNA has grown to become a prominant source of physical, mental and emotional health care.
“The 100th Anniversary Fair is a gift of health and wellness for every age,” the agency said. “All this would cost thousands of dollars but it’s a free family event that can answer your questions, protect your future and keep you well.”
It is Saturday, April 5, from 10 to 2 at East Ridge Middle School; for more information, call 203-438-5555.
