The Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association recently presented the latest advances in heart disease at the Matters of the Heart Forum with the Wilton Y at Wilton Library. Treatments, medications, research and development were explained in detail to a large audience. Panelists were Dr. Michael Dewar, assistant professor of cardiac surgery at Yale School of Medicine, who presented a cardiac surgery film; Robert Bepko Jr., director of Professional Services, Norwalk Hospital, who discussed cardiac medications; Martha Bryce, nurse at RVNA and heart champion, who told her own personal experience with heart disease. Eloise Barron, director of Community Health and Wellness at RVNA was the moderator.
