Alfred K. Hulse, Sr., 77, of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, March 8, in the presence of his family. He was born in Danbury on August 8, 1936, son of the late Earl and Christine (Sailor) Hulse.
Mr. Hulse retired from the Ridgefield Public School System where he worked as a custodian for many years. Prior to that he worked as a crane operator for MJ Stavola in Danbury. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his sons Alfred Hulse, Jr. and his wife Maureen of New Milford, and William Hulse of New Fairfield; his two daughters, Sandra Veness and Lisa Hulse, both of Danbury; his eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Christine Beardsley and Anna Torraca, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sons: Keith, Christopher and Kenneth Hulse.
Funeral Services will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 12, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, New Milford.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday between 10 and 11:30 a.m.
