Families with children aged 9 and up are invited to the Woodcock Nature Center, 56 Deer Run Road, Wilton, at 1:30 on Saturday, March 15, to join artist and naturalist Sarah Breznen in creating natural sculptures in the forested landscape.
This is part of the Draw On! Goes Green series.
A fireside presentation will cover the work of natural sculpture artist Andy Goldsworthy, and participants will learn some simple techniques to help build sculptures out of natural such items as stones, leaves, branches, and bark. Participants’ works will be temporary and will be recorded through photography to be displayed at the Aldrich’s Draw On! Family Day on March 30. Participation in the Woodcock program is $15 per family.
